Welcome all! A little about me. I started sewing when I was a little girl, it's always been around me. You know the story, mom sews, grandmother sews, etc. My mother was a costume seamstress for several years and while I picked up the basics, if I ever really _needed_ something I'd have her do it for me, I can be honest, she's just sooo much better.
Then a few years ago a got a new sewing machine. I did well to complete a project every few months, but sometimes it was more like 6 or 7 months. A while back the bug hit and I wanted to sew. I couldn't think of any way better to express (otherwise read botch) my creative side. You see I'm a software engineer by trade so the majority of my adult life has been spent inside a little computer. Then an interesting thing happened in 2009. I lost my job. The ole economy just kicked my industry in the pants, as it did so many others, and I thought, what better time to drag out the machine and do something constructive with my time at home. Well, it stuck, and here I am. So enjoy, hopefully I'll keep up with it.
